LEVEL 1 : UNIT 3 - CIRCULAR PATTERNS
UNIT OVERVIEW
The focus of Unit 3 is CIRCULAR PATTERNS.
In Unit 3 we examine how to build a range of different fan shaped and circular patterns that all use the same system, yet create greatly varied results.
We guide you through a sequence of three systematic drawing exercises followed by a step by step demonstration of how to build a fan shaped mosaic sample. This unit consolidates techniques learnt in both Units 1 and 2.
Understanding how to set this pattern up from the beginning by yourself in a variety of ways opens the door for you to create an almost endless range of circular patterns.

In Lesson 1 we examine how to set up a basic fan shaped pattern working from a simple 4 x 4 grid.

In Lesson 3 we examine how to set up a more complex circular pattern pattern working from the same simple 4 x 4 grid as the first sample.
